Not all of us are blessed with luscious lips and as we age they tend to lose volume and flatten. Luckily dermal fillers injected into the lips are an easy way to address this.

FAQ’s

What are Lip Fillers?

The actual filler is a gel like substance made up of a natural molecule called hyaluronic acid that is already present in our lips and skin. We are trying to augment or replace what has been lost through a series of carefully placed injections.

How much should you get injected?

You can decide how big to go. We also say start low, go slow. It is always easier to put more in and best to do it in stages. It is harder to take it back out! Saying that, if you do decide after treatment that its not for you, then it can be dissolved.

Will the result look natural?

Our practitioner will listen to your wishes and concerns and tailor a result suited to your face and aspirations. Some patients prefer a more subtle approach whereas others like it to be more obvious. We aim for individual tailored results rather than give everybody the same treatment. We also like to bear in mind that you are always able to add or tweak at the review visit.

What products do you use?

We offer a variety of filler products including but not exclusive to Restylane, Juvéderm, and Teosyl. You will be guided by your practitioner on what products is best depending on the result you are trying to achieve. All options can be discussed with the doctor or aesthetic nurse at your consultation appointment which allows us to treat your needs as best as possible.

How much do you charge?

Lip fillers are charged per volume injected. We charge £180 for the first 0.5ml and £250 for 1.0ml if done in the same sitting.

Can I take an allergic reaction to the filler?

We are probably Scotland’s busiest clinic and have never came across this. In fact we have never heard of anyone having an allergy to any of the main filler brands. This is an unlikely occurrence as the main ingredient is Hyaluronic Acid which is already found in your skin. We do have Doctors on site and the equipment necessary to start to counteract any allergies.

What if I don’t like it?

Filler can be dissolved, following injection into the treated area, the product acts within minutes to dissolve unwanted filler and restore the original facial contours.
